I started thinking about lap band surgery a few years ago. I moved to the L.A. Area and started researching. I found positive reviews about Dr Carson Liu and discovered I worked with 2 people who had Dr Liu as a surgeon, so I scheduled a consultation. Dr Liu and his staff were professional and a friendly. Dr Liu went over everything step by step and answered all my questions. He shared his knowledge in a way I could understand! I filled out paperwork and I received insurance verification on my drive home from a the visit...is the customer service or what!!! I schedule my surgery and had the procedure 6/7/10.
The staff has continued to be friendly and helpful which is awesome because I had many questions about my insurance billing. They never made me feel like I was bothering them with my billing silly questions. I panicked when I saw the insurance charges because Dr Liu is "out of network" for my PPO insurance. I thought I might have to pay 50% of the whole bill. His surgery coordinator told me not to worry. I wouldn't have to pay more than the estimate given to me up front...and I haven't!! They have a great payment plan which has made it very affordable. THANK YOU LADIES!!
Dr Liu has an office in Santa Monica and one in Tustin. I live in the O.C. My first appointment was in L.A so I had to take a half day off from work and fight the traffic. Now, I have my adjustments in Tustin which is great! I can take a long lunch to get an adjustment and get back to work. This has been a life or at least a vacation saver!!
I would recommend Dr Carson Liu to anyone looking to getting the Lap Band!
